ECU alumnus and Greenville native to deliver spring commencement address
East Carolina University will welcome entrepreneur and alumnus John May ’93 as the keynote speaker for its spring commencement ceremony.
May is the founder and managing partner of CORE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm with approximately $2 billion in assets under management. Since its founding in 2017, CORE has become one of the fastest-growing firms in the industry, investing exclusively in lower middle-market manufacturing, industrial technology and industrial services businesses. The firm has offices in Chicago, Austin, Texas, and Cleveland.

Message for ECU Sustainability Program about Confetti on campus!
Congratulations, Pirates! When you celebrate your achievements this year and take graduation pictures with you friends and family, remember confetti is litter. It is also harmful to wildlife and contributes to ocean plastic waste when it enters the storm drain and flows downstream.
Please help keep our beautiful, award-winning campus clean. Instead of using confetti, streamers, or balloons in your photos, we recommend using bubbles, flower petals, or the filters on your phone.
