East Carolina University – Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony

The East Carolina University Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held December 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. inside Minges Coliseum.

All ECU fall 2024 graduates, including those earning undergraduate, masters, doctoral and professional degrees, will be REQUIRED to complete an RSVP form to participate in the university commencement ceremony. The RSVP deadline is December 1.

The required RSVP process will assist with logistical planning and students who have completed the RSVP no later than December 1 will receive additional instructions to their ECU email account. Guest tickets are not required for the university ceremony in Minges Coliseum.

ECU also intends to host college specific recognition ceremonies on campus during the afternoon and evening of December 13. Details for the college recognition ceremonies are posted below.

Graduating students for Fall 2024 needed to apply to graduate (via Pirate Port) by September 15, 2024 to ensure the student’s name is included in the University Ceremony Program. Click here to via the process of applying to graduate.

All College Ceremonies will take place on December 13th.  Since Health and Human Performance has two ceremonies and Thomas Harriot Arts and Sciences has four ceremonies, graduates should pay attention to the degree listings below to determine which ceremony to attend.

Ticket Information for Fall 2024 (updated Sept. 17)

  • University Ceremony at 10am – No Guest Tickets are required
  • College Ceremonies – Guest tickets ARE required for entry. Each ceremony will have an allotment of guest tickets per graduate. The number of tickets and the process for picking up tickets will be announced in early October.
