What is the date for the Spring 2026 Commencement University Ceremony?
The East Carolina University Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony will be held May 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
What happens in the case of rain for the University Ceremony?
The event will be held as planned. However, in the event of severe weather we will update the ECU home page and the Commencement website.
Faculty RSVP for Spring 2026 University Ceremony
All ECU faculty are invited to attend the Spring 2026 University Commencement Ceremony.
Faculty will need to complete the RSVP form to participate in the ceremony. The RSVP form will assist the Commencement Committee with plans related to seating on the court and other logistics associated with the ceremony. The deadline for the faculty RSVP is April 28.

Faculty Regalia – Rental
The best way for faculty to order rental regalia is to do so online by completing the form below. Oak Hall will be at Dowdy Student Stores on February 24-26 if you are interested in ordering custom regalia.
- The deadline for faculty to rent regalia for the Spring 2026 commencement ceremony is March 13, 2026.
- Pick-up is at the Dowdy Student Stores inside the Main Campus Student Center beginning April 13, 2026.
- Return all rental regalia to the Dowdy Student Stores by May 15, 2026.
