East Carolina University – Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony

The East Carolina University Fall 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be held December 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. inside Minges Coliseum.

All ECU fall 2024 graduates, including those earning undergraduate, masters, doctoral and professional degrees, were REQUIRED to complete an RSVP form to participate in the university commencement ceremony by December 1.

The required RSVP process assist with logistical planning and students who have completed the RSVP no later than December 1 will receive additional instructions to their ECU email account. Guest tickets are not required for the university ceremony in Minges Coliseum.

ECU also intends to host college specific recognition ceremonies on campus during the afternoon and evening of December 13. Details for the college recognition ceremonies are posted below.


Greczyn named keynote speaker for fall commencement ceremony

Bob Greczyn ’73, a seasoned health care executive, will be the keynote speaker at East Carolina University’s fall commencement ceremony.

Greczyn retired as CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina in 2010 after a decade of leading the company through a comprehensive transformation. His career in health care spanned more than 30 years with the early part of his career focused on rural health initiatives and patient care.

Ticket Information for Fall 2024

  • University Ceremony at 10am – No Guest Tickets are required
  • College Ceremonies – Guest tickets ARE required for entry. Each ceremony will have an allotment of 6 guest tickets per graduate.
